Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to the most common questions about our screening services, requirements, and process. Can't find what you're looking for? .

What do I need to bring to my appointment?

Bring a valid government-issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, or state ID). You'll also need any forms specific to your screening type—we can provide these or you can bring them pre-filled. For employment or licensing screening, have your Social Security number ready. That's it—we handle the rest.

How long does screening take?

The fingerprinting and in-person process typically takes 15–30 minutes. Results timing depends on the screening type: Live Scan (FDLE) results usually arrive same-day to 2 business days; FBI background checks may take 1–3 weeks depending on federal processing. We'll give you a clear timeline when you book.

What's the difference between FDLE and FBI background checks?

FDLE (Florida Department of Law Enforcement) checks your criminal history in Florida only—required for most Florida jobs and licenses. FBI checks are nationwide and often required for federal positions, interstate employment, or sensitive security clearances. We can help you figure out which one you need based on your situation.

Who needs AHCA Level 2 screening?

AHCA Level 2 screening is required for healthcare workers, nurses, CNAs, and staff at healthcare facilities and childcare centers in Florida. It includes fingerprinting plus checks against sexual predator and batterer registries. If you work in healthcare or childcare in Florida, you likely need this—we can confirm when you contact us.

How much does screening cost?

Live Scan fingerprinting typically ranges from $50–$90 depending on the screening type. Government agency fees (for FBI or FDLE processing) are separate and vary by type. We provide transparent pricing upfront—no hidden fees. Contact us for a specific quote based on your screening type.

Can I do this online or by mail?

No—fingerprinting must be done in person with a certified technician. But we make it easy: walk in during business hours, or we can arrange mobile fingerprinting to come to you (for a small travel fee). We're here to fit your schedule, not the other way around.

What if I have a criminal record?

We process your screening accurately and professionally regardless of your history. Whether a record disqualifies you depends on the employer or licensing board's policies—not on us. We recommend being upfront with your employer or licensing board about your history. We're here to provide accurate information, not judge.

How are results delivered?

Results are typically emailed to you and can also be printed in-person. For official submissions to employers or licensing boards, we can send results directly on your behalf. You'll always have copies for your records, and we'll keep results confidential and secure.

Do you offer mobile fingerprinting service?

Yes. We can come to your home, office, or workplace in the Kissimmee area. Mobile service is ideal if you're busy, have transportation challenges, or need same-day screening on your schedule. Travel fees typically start around $70 within 10 miles. Call or email to arrange.

Can you help me figure out which screening type I need?

Absolutely. It's one of the most common questions we get. Call us or email with details about your job, license, or situation, and we'll tell you exactly which screening applies. No charge for the consultation—our goal is to get you the right service fast.

Compliance & Documentation Guide

Florida's screening requirements vary by industry and position. Understanding what you need—and what documents to bring—removes confusion and speeds up the process. Our team can help identify your exact requirements and ensure your documentation is complete before your appointment.

FDLE Level 2 Background Screening

What it is: Florida's standard background screening for employment, licensing, and professional credentials. FDLE (Florida Department of Law Enforcement) conducts a fingerprint-based criminal history check combined with a name-based search.

Who needs it: Teachers, healthcare workers, childcare providers, security personnel, financial professionals, and anyone applying for a Florida professional license or state employment.

What's included: Digital fingerprinting, Florida criminal history check, FBI national criminal history check, sex offender and batterer registry checks.

Documents to bring: Valid government-issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, or state ID), FDLE form (we can provide), and any agency-specific forms your employer or licensing board requires.

Processing timeline: Fingerprints are processed same-day. FDLE typically returns results within 2–5 business days. FBI results can take 7–10 business days.

FBI Background Check

What it is: A nationwide criminal background check conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Required for jobs that cross state lines, federal positions, or roles requiring interstate credentialing.

Who needs it: Healthcare professionals seeking multi-state licensure, federal employees, teachers applying out of state, security clearance applicants, and positions requiring federal compliance.

What's included: Fingerprint-based search of FBI criminal databases, multi-state criminal history, and federal offense records.

Documents to bring: Valid government-issued photo ID, FBI fingerprint card or digital submission form (we handle this), and any employer/agency-specific documentation.

Processing timeline: Fingerprints processed same-day. FBI results typically arrive within 7–10 business days, though can take longer during high-volume periods.

AHCA Level 2 Healthcare Screening

What it is: Florida's healthcare-specific background screening required by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA). It's stricter than standard FDLE screening and includes additional registry checks.

Who needs it: Nurses, CNAs, medical assistants, home health aides, facility staff, childcare workers in healthcare settings, and anyone working in regulated healthcare environments in Florida.

What's included: Fingerprint-based criminal background check (FDLE + FBI), sex offender registry check, batterer registry check, Florida Department of Children and Families abuse/neglect registry, and healthcare licensing board disciplinary records.

Documents to bring: Valid government-issued photo ID, AHCA-specific fingerprint form (we provide), and any employer-required documentation. Some positions may require additional forms.

Processing timeline: Fingerprints processed same-day. AHCA results typically arrive within 3–7 business days, depending on registry processing times.

Common Documentation Mistakes to Avoid

Expired ID: Bring a valid, current photo ID. Expired IDs will be rejected and delay processing.

Wrong forms: Each screening type requires specific forms. Using the wrong form means resubmission and delays. We'll ensure you have the correct ones.

Incomplete applications: Missing signatures, dates, or required information triggers rejection. We review everything before submission to catch errors upfront.

Name discrepancies: If your name on your ID doesn't match your application, it can cause delays. Bring documentation of any legal name changes (marriage certificate, court order).

Unclear fingerprints: Poor fingerprint quality causes rejection and requires resubmission. Our professional equipment and trained staff ensure clear, submittable prints the first time.

How to Prepare for Your Appointment

1

Identify your screening type: Contact your employer, licensing board, or agency to confirm exactly which screening you need (FDLE, FBI, or AHCA).

2

Gather required documents: Bring a valid photo ID and any forms your employer or agency provided. Call us if you're unsure—we can tell you exactly what to bring.

3

Plan for same-day processing: Most fingerprinting is completed within 30 minutes. Plan your schedule accordingly if you need results urgently.

4

Know your agency timeline: Fingerprinting is fast, but agencies (FDLE, FBI, AHCA) control how long results take. We'll explain timelines and set realistic expectations.

5

Keep records: We'll provide you with copies of your submission for your records and your employer. Save these—you may need them for proof of compliance.

What Happens After Screening Is Submitted

Immediately after your appointment: We provide you with a receipt and confirmation of submission. Your fingerprints are securely transmitted to the appropriate agencies (FDLE, FBI, or AHCA).

Tracking your results: Most agencies allow you to check status online using a tracking number. We'll provide this and explain how to check progress.

Results delivery: Results are typically sent directly to your employer or licensing board, and a copy is provided to you. We can also help you interpret results and address any questions.

If there's an issue: Occasionally, agencies request additional information or clarification. We monitor submissions and alert you immediately if follow-up is needed, so you can resolve issues quickly.
